Buying a membrane-switch test fixture: software, wiring and acceptance handover

Define the hardware, wiring documents, applicable revision, and acceptance method for a fixture the buyer will operate. Where software is included, agree on configuration, operating requirements, and recovery. Use a delivery checklist to identify missing items and use restrictions.

When buying a membrane-switch test fixture, list the hardware, wiring documents, applicable product revision, and acceptance method in one delivery checklist. If the fixture runs software, also agree on the program, configuration, operating requirements, and recovery procedure. Define what is being purchased and how the recipient will check it before comparing quotations. Hardware arrival or a successful sample demonstration alone does not establish that the complete fixture has passed the agreed acceptance process.

On 20 October 2026, the Dongfeng procurement platform published a candidate notice for new electrical-control test equipment, an MCU and OBC HIL system, listing candidates and quotations. The procuring organization is Zhixin Technology Co., Ltd. This is test-system procurement information. It does not disclose a membrane-switch fixture configuration or indicate that Baoshengda participates in the project.

This system-purchasing scenario raises a practical question for a buyer's own project: what deliverable items are included in the quoted “one set of test fixtures,” and what is needed to keep using them? The following handover suggestions concern fixtures for ordinary passive membrane switches. They do not turn HIL-system requirements into a membrane-switch standard. Powered equipment, safety circuits, and special tests need separate assessment.

Define who receives the fixture and who approves the method

Production tooling retained at a supplier's factory has a different delivery scope from a fixture that a buyer receives and operates independently. State who stores it, where it will be used, who maintains it, and whether acceptance covers the fixture alone or also the test method for a particular product revision. Payment of a tooling charge does not by itself establish delivery of the physical tooling, source code, or all internal process documents. Agree separately on what will be transferred and the permitted use.

A simple continuity fixture may have no application program; an inapplicable checklist entry can explicitly say “no program included.” If the quotation includes a host computer, application, or dedicated controller, ask the supplier to identify the actual files and versions, required operating environment, licensing, and subsequent support. The phrase “one set” does not define these inclusions.

Test fixture handover checklist

Break “one set” in the quotation into items that can be counted and checked. This is not a universal purchasing specification, nor a requirement to disclose all proprietary material. Both parties should agree on what is delivered, what remains available for review, and what is excluded. Baoshengda's project testing and inspection guide (Chinese) calls for equipment, methods, samples, conditions, and criteria to match the current project. An equipment photograph alone does not establish that a performance requirement has been met.

Recheck the agreed process under the recipient's conditions

Before acceptance, agree on the location, samples, and demonstration steps. Successful operation at the supplier's site describes that configuration. If the buyer will use the fixture at its own workstation, also confirm that the delivered package, cables, and operating conditions support the agreed process. Authorized personnel should follow approved procedures when installing software or changing settings, preserve the original configuration, and keep security restrictions in place.

For example, suppose a software-controlled fixture uses a configuration file on the supplier's computer during the demonstration, but the delivery list names only an executable. The recipient should first establish whether that configuration must be delivered separately and who will set it up, then recheck under the agreed conditions. This hypothetical example illustrates a possible gap in the package. It does not describe an actual supplier incident or assume that every fixture has the same software architecture.

Depending on the project agreement, recovery checks could cover reconnection, reloading a delivered configuration, or restoring a backup. They do not require arbitrary dismantling. Retain the action, expected response, actual result, and applicable revision together. For rejection checks, use an approved isolated reference circuit or controlled sample. Do not short powered terminals, unidentified interfaces, or safety circuits.

Separate permitted use from outstanding delivery items

If software, drawings, or acceptance records remain incomplete, list the missing items, affected use cases, responsible party, and completion point. If the project accepts hardware first but leaves a test function disabled, record that decision and restriction. A blanket acceptance statement should not conceal incomplete checks. Later rewiring, adapter replacement, or criteria changes should retain their relationship to the original acceptance revision.

Shenzhen Baoshengda Technology Co., Ltd.'s membrane-switch guide (Chinese) calls for checking key mapping, continuity, and installed fit using the same enclosure and PCB revision, while recording sample IDs, drawing revisions, test conditions, and requested changes. When a buyer supplies its own fixture, these product inputs can be linked to the fixture handover checklist to clarify who supplies and verifies each item. The website guide does not establish that Baoshengda sells test fixtures, supplies the HIL system described above, delivers software source code, or performs on-site system acceptance.

A separate graphic overlay without a switch circuit should not be assigned the electrical checks for a complete switch. An overlay with metal domes used with a customer's PCB requires the customer PCB, support, and assembly conditions to be identified separately. Record only the objects and functions actually covered by the fixture. A continuity result for an individual part does not establish equipment, endurance, or safety compliance.

For connection checks after modifying an existing fixture, see test-fixture rewiring and channel mapping (Chinese). For die-tooling fees, storage, and transfer arrangements, see membrane-switch tooling charges (Chinese). This article addresses the delivery package, recovery checks, and outstanding items when receiving a fixture, rather than repeating rewiring diagnosis or tooling-pricing methods.

When discussing product and testing responsibilities through the project contact page, provide the current pinout, intended fixture use, proposed document list, and disputed acceptance items. First confirm whether those requirements belong to the supply scope. The order attachment should ultimately identify the delivered revision, the recipient's checking method, and any incomplete items. The English membrane-switch product page provides the current product entry point.
